As I was the first to tell you earlier this month, Lopez has always told Fox and FreemantleMedia North America (which produces the show) that she has no plans to leave the judges' table.
"She just has to work one thing out," a source says of the final negotiations. "It's nothing major. An announcement will probably be made within the next week or two weeks at the latest."
Lopez and Fox were hot to get things done sooner, but as we now know the singer-actress was also in the middle of ending her marriage to Marc Anthony.
The eleventh season of Idol kicks off in January.
